It is available from the SIMNRA Home Page at http://www.rzg.mpg.de/~mam/ or from MTA-SigmaBase at http://www.mfa.kfki.hu/sigmabase/programs/simnra50.html SIMNRA is a Microsoft Windows program with fully graphical user interface for the simulation of backscattering spectra for ion beam analysis with MeV ions. SIMNRA is mainly intended for the simulation of non-Rutherford backscattering, nuclear reaction analysis and elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA). More than 300 different non-Rutherford and nuclear reactions cross-sections for incident protons, deuterons, 3He, 4He and Li-ions are included. See the SIMNRA Home Page for more details. WHAT'S NEW IN VERSION 5.0 - - Surface roughness effects can be calculated - - OLE automation allows automatic analysis of large numbers of spectra - - Data exchange with other programs, especially RUMP - - Reading of spectrum data in Canberra's CAM file format - - Many new cross section data, including data for incident Li-ions - - Help system - - Improved graphics and user interface SIMNRA is a shareware program. You can use SIMNRA for a trial period of 30 days without fee. If you want to use SIMNRA after this period, the pricing is as follows: 250 US$ University research laboratory (special prices for single researchers or industry laboratory) 100 US$ Upgrade for registered users of any previous version of SIMNRA Best regards, Matej Mayer - --------------------------------------------------------- Dr. Matej Mayer Max-Planck-Institut fuer Plasmaphysik Boltzmannstr. 2 D-85748 Garching Germany Tel: ++49 89 3299-1639 Fax: ++49 89 3299-2279 ------------------------------ End of I O N V2002 #4 ********************* *-----------------------------------------------------------------------* | I O N - part of the IBIS, the Ion Beam Information System | *-----------------------------------------------------------------------* | Editors: | | E.
